Movers who know how Philadelphia is built
Moving in Philly is not like moving in a new suburb. Streets are narrow. Stairs twist. Buildings ask for paperwork before they let a crew in.
Our crews work these streets every week. We plan around one-way blocks, trolley tracks and bike lanes. We pad banisters in trinity houses and measure tight turns before move day. In high-rises, we send your building the insurance certificate and book the freight elevator with you.
Then we do the part people remember. We show up on time. We wrap furniture in pads. We put each box in the right room. And we treat your home like our own, because LiteMovers is a family business, not a call center.
- Local moves across all Philadelphia neighborhoods
- Apartment, condo and high-rise moves with COIs handled
- Long-distance moves on our own LiteMovers trucks
- Senior moves, downsizing and estate cleanouts
- Full or partial packing and secure vault storage

Philadelphia moving FAQs
How far ahead should I book movers in Philadelphia?
Book four to six weeks ahead if you can, and eight weeks for a move between late May and early September. Month-end dates and weekends fill first. Shorter notice is often possible, so call even if your date is close. Booking early also leaves time for a street parking permit or a building elevator reservation.
Is LiteMovers licensed to move households in Pennsylvania?
Yes. LiteMovers holds Pennsylvania PUC authority A-8916211 for moves inside the state. For moves across state lines, the company operates under USDOT 2173383 and MC-888055 with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. You can look up both numbers on the PUC and FMCSA websites before you book.
Does LiteMovers give free moving estimates in Philadelphia?
Yes. Estimates are free and come in writing. You can choose a phone, video or in-home walkthrough. The estimate lists the crew size, truck, services and any stairs, elevators or long carries we expect. Tell us about special items, like a piano or safe, so nothing is left out.
What areas does Philly Mover by LiteMovers serve?
